One of the most important core values at Crossroads Vineyard is the value of Community. If people are not connecting and building relationships with each other – then we’re not doing our job.
Relationships are a priority to us because we believe that God is a relational God. Jesus came to lay his life down for his friends – and we’ve been mandated by his example to do the same! Jesus walked with people and talked with them. He was moved by compassion for them. He played with their kids and went to eat at the homes of his friends.
The modern, busy culture that we live in tells us to keep busy, keep our head down, keep moving and mind our own business. What a clash from the life of Jesus!! People, friends, relationships and the community that surrounded him were his priority!
Now with that said, we’re not asking you to give us all of your free time (that is, if you still have any left!) We just hope that you can find 2 hours in your week to get involved in a Connect Group. You may be dreading just the thought of slicing out yet another “appointment.” But think of it this way: hanging out with good friends, eating yummy desserts, drinking a cup of coffee, stimulating discussion – does that sound like an “appointment” to you??
So what do you say? Give it a try – Check out a list of available groups and sign up today at http://www.crossroadsvineyard.org/Connect.html
